Serious Accident Near Tomislavgrad: Four Injured

Four people, including a child born in 2025, sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident that occurred on Thursday morning in the town of Mokronoge near Tomislavgrad. The information was confirmed to the Fena agency by the Ministry of Interior of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
The accident occurred on August 6, 2026, at approximately 7:20 AM. A Peugeot passenger car and a Renault truck were involved. The driver of the Peugeot, born in 1950 and from Sarajevo, was rushed to the University Clinical Hospital (UCH) Mostar after receiving first aid at the scene due to severe injuries.
Three other passengers, all from Sarajevo, were in the car. A person born in 1955 was admitted for treatment at the Cantonal Hospital in Livno. Another adult, born in 1984, and a minor child born in 2025 were also transported for further care to UCH Mostar.
The Renault truck was driven by a person born in 1973 from Posušje. According to police reports, this driver did not sustain any injuries in the accident. Both vehicles sustained extensive material damage.
An on-site investigation was conducted by police officers from the Tomislavgrad Police Department and the Tomislavgrad Police Station. The duty cantonal prosecutor was also notified. Police are continuing to determine all the circumstances and exact causes that led to this serious traffic accident.
