Due to the expected large number of visitors, the Split-Dalmatia Police Department has issued comprehensive guidelines and warnings for all those planning to attend, as well as for the city's residents. The concert is scheduled to start at 9 PM, with traffic congestion and delays expected as early as the afternoon hours.

Gradual Street Closures Starting Friday

The police have announced that traffic restrictions will be introduced gradually, starting as early as Friday, August 7. A complete traffic halt, except for emergency vehicles and residents, will be in effect on a number of streets: Jezeranska, Petra Vrdoljaka, Dinka Štambaka, Ante Starčevića, Šetalište Stjepana Radića, Kralja Tomislava, Nikole Šubića Zrinskog, Kralja Zvonimira, Vlade Gotovca, and Matije Gupca.

The police are particularly appealing to vehicle owners parked on these streets. "We urge citizens who park vehicles on the aforementioned streets to move them immediately, and no later than Friday, August 7, at 4 PM, in order to increase the flow of people and visitors, as well as to prevent potential vehicle damage," the statement reads. The City of Imotski has also arranged for a vehicle towing service if needed.

One-Way Streets and Parking Zones on Concert Day

On the day of the concert, starting at 10 AM on Saturday, numerous streets will switch from two-way to one-way traffic. This change applies to Bruna Bušića, Blajburška, fra Stjepana Vrljića, Josipa Mladinova, Put Gojka Šuška, fra Rajmunda Rudeža, Antuna Gustava Matoša, Biokovska, Milivoja Pauta, and Kneza Branimira streets. One-way traffic will also be introduced on County Road 6184 and Local Road 67153.

Parking will be available on parts of Bruna Bušića, fra Stjepana Vrljića, Vladimira Nazora, Josipa Mladinova, Blajburška, Put Gojka Šuška, and County Road 6184. "We urge citizens attending the concert to use all suitable roadside widenings outside the city for parking in a way that does not obstruct the normal flow of traffic," the police said.

Flight Ban and Event Recording

From Saturday at 2 PM until Sunday, August 9, at 5 AM, a temporary no-fly zone will be established over the immediate and wider area of Imotski, up to an altitude of 500 meters. This measure includes drone flights, with only aircraft from the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense exempted. Additionally, in accordance with the Police Duties and Powers Act, the police will record the stadium and approach routes before, during, and after the concert.

Appeals for Safety and Patience

The police have issued a series of tips for attendees. "We urge visitors to be patient when entering the concert zone. Those who regularly use therapy or medication should bring it with them. Drink plenty of water and follow the recommendations of emergency services personnel and police officers on the ground, as well as the organizer's instructions," the statement reads.

Parents are specifically warned to keep their children under constant supervision due to expected crowds. After the performance ends, the police ask attendees not to leave all at once. "We urge visitors not to exit all at the same time after the performance ends, and to ensure that the dispersal is gradual and carefully directed when leaving the venue. We appeal to visitors to pay special attention to vulnerable groups, children, and the elderly, and to give them priority when leaving."

Drivers are reminded to exercise extra caution and patience when merging into traffic, especially due to the large number of pedestrians. The message about alcohol is clear: "Do not drive if you have consumed alcohol. Let's look out for each other, especially when leaving the concert!"
