Zagreb police have completed a criminal investigation into a 32-year-old man suspected of unauthorized drug production and trafficking. During a search of a commercial facility in the Novi Zagreb area, police officers seized a total of eight kilograms of drugs, as well as equipment used for their further packaging and distribution.
The search was conducted on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, based on a court order. In the facility used by the suspect, police found 13 packages containing a total of 5,499 grams of cannabis and four packages containing 2,514 grams of amphetamines. In addition to the drugs, three digital scales, a vacuum sealing machine, packaging bags, and 2,450 grams of cutting agent, believed to be used to increase the weight of the drugs by mixing, were also seized.
According to information from the Zagreb Police Department, the 32-year-old obtained drugs in large quantities, then hid, weighed, and repackaged them in a facility owned by a 60-year-old female relative. He then sold the prepared drugs on the illegal market, acting contrary to the provisions of the Act on Combating Drug Abuse. The Zagreb police have previously taken action against the same 32-year-old on multiple occasions and filed criminal charges for similar offenses.
After the criminal investigation was completed, the suspect was handed over to the prison supervisor. A criminal report will be filed against him with the competent state attorney's office in Zagreb.
