Morning Marked by Prayer and Remembrance

The spiritual program began in the early morning hours. The first Mass at 6:00 AM, as well as the one at 7:30 AM, was led by the local parish priest, Rev. Mile Čalo. The second morning Mass had a particularly emotional character as it was dedicated to Croatian veterans.

Following the Mass, candles were lit and wreaths were laid at the central cross in the local cemetery in Vid. With deep respect and in silence, tribute was paid to all fallen veterans of the Homeland War.

Central Eucharistic Celebration with Numerous Priests

The highlight of the celebration was the main Mass at 9:30 AM, led by Rev. Stanko Volarević, the parish priest of Trilj and dean of the Cetina Deanery. His words reminded the congregation of the strength of the community and the importance of preserving fundamental values.

Alongside the main celebrant and the host, Rev. Mile Čalo, the altar was shared by other priests: former parish priest Rev. Mladen Margeta, Prof. Dr. Rev. Ivan Kešina, originally from Vid, dean of the Neretva Deanery and parish priest of the Parish of St. Nicholas the Bishop in Metković, Rev. Davor Bilandžić, and the Reverend Canon Rev. Stipe Jerković.
