"In addition to the planned funds for this public call, this year we have secured funds in the state budget for a number of other major competitions awaiting us in 2027, from the World Rally Championship and the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships to the Youth Sports Games and the E1 Series World Championship for electric race boats, with a total planned amount of €11 million for all," he added.

Glavina also reminded of the rich sports calendar until the end of this year, which includes the World Obstacle Course Racing Championships, the European Gymnastics Championships, the Cro Race cycling race, and the Zagreb Grand Prix Judo. "By the end of this year, we expect a series of sporting events... which have not only their sporting but also exceptional tourist value, especially because they take place in the off-season, significantly contributing to our important strategic goal of developing year-round tourism," concluded the minister.
