After announcing price increases for its gaming consoles in the United States back in June 2026, Microsoft has now raised prices for the European market as well. What stands out is that the increase in Europe is significantly larger than in the US.
In the US, the announced price increase ranged from $100 to $150, depending on the console model. On the other hand, European customers face a price hike of €150 to as much as €200 for the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X models. This difference will significantly impact Croatian gamers who purchase consoles at European prices.

According to Tportal, this may not be the final price increase. Microsoft, in fact, stated back in June 2026 that it expects storage and memory prices to double again, which could further impact the final console prices.
In the context of rising prices in the gaming industry, it's worth noting that other major companies, Sony and Nintendo, have also recently announced price increases for their products, as reported by Engadget.
