Zadar Bikers Pay Tribute to Operation Storm

Members of the Beštije Zadar Motorcycle Club marked the 31st anniversary of the military-police operation Storm with an organized ride from Zadar to Knin, paying tribute to Croatian defenders.

The Beštije Zadar Motorcycle Club continued its recognizable tradition this year as well, on August 6, 2026. On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the military-police operation Storm, they organized a motorcycle parade called "From Branimir to Zvonimir," thus paying tribute to all Croatian defenders, especially those who laid down their lives for the freedom of the homeland.

From Zadar's Coast to Knin's Fortress

The bikers gathered in Zadar on the coast of Prince Branimir, symbolically starting their journey at a place bearing the name of one of the first Croatian rulers. The column then headed towards Benkovac, where they were welcomed by friends and supporters, and continued in an organized parade towards the final destination, Knin. The entire route symbolically connected two Croatian kings, Branimir and Zvonimir, in a sign of remembrance and gratitude.

The club's president, Alen Vimer, expressed his gratitude to everyone who was part of this patriotic story.

"On behalf of the Beštije Zadar Motorcycle Club, I thank all motorcycle clubs and individuals, known and unknown friends, who were part of the proud motorcycle parade 'From Branimir to Zvonimir' and thus marked the 31st anniversary of Operation Storm, paid tribute to Croatian defenders, and especially to those who laid their lives on the altar of the homeland,"
Vimer said.

He extended special thanks to institutions and individuals who provided support in the organization. Among them are the Zadar County, the City of Benkovac, the Benkovac Volunteers Association, and Mr. Genda. Caffe bar Corto and Marko Tepša took care of hospitality and a meal for all participants.

Vimer also announced the continuation of this tradition and invited everyone to participate next year.

"Thank you once again to everyone who was part of this tradition in any way, and with apologies if I missed anyone, see you next year at the 32nd anniversary,"
concluded the president of the Beštije Zadar Motorcycle Club.
