The summer break brought a pause to the crew of the hit series 'Wild Bees', and actor Amar Bukvić used it to escape to the Adriatic. In an interview with RTL.hr, he recalled the demanding role of Toma Domazet and admitted that, despite the challenges, this character was one of his favorites in his career.
Bukvić doesn't hide that stepping into the shoes of Toma Domazet was far from easy. The layered nature of the character and the burden he carries required complete acting dedication. Yet, it was precisely in that difficulty that he found what every actor yearns for-an opportunity for genuine growth in front of the camera.
"It wasn't easy to step into the character of Toma Domazet because of his complexity and everything he carries with him, but that's exactly why he was one of the most interesting characters I've had the chance to build in front of the camera," Bukvić told RTL.hr.
The intense filming that lasted nearly a year not only produced a hit series but also unbreakable bonds among the crew. Bukvić speaks with special warmth about this connection, emphasizing that the colleagues he shared the set with became much more than collaborators.
"I really miss the crew because after nearly a year of filming, we became a small family," the actor admitted, confirming that the chemistry seen on screen was equally strong behind the cameras.
In addition to 'Wild Bees', Bukvić also has a notable international role behind him. He starred in the Scandinavian war drama 'The Value of Life', which recently became available on the Voyo platform. In that project, he portrayed the difficult role of a man who found himself on the wrong side of history.
While taking a break from work obligations, Bukvić found his place in the sun in his family oasis on Brač and in Makarska. As he points out, he doesn't need much for a perfect day-just the company of loved ones, shade, the sea, good fish, and a good book.
