Although the company has not yet officially announced this update, its existence suggests that users could soon receive a minor but important upgrade.
A day earlier, on August 6, 2026, Apple already released macOS 26.6.1 with a fix for a security vulnerability affecting the Screen Sharing app. It is expected that iOS 26.6.1 could follow the same pattern and bring similar security patches, as well as general bug fixes, should Apple decide to release it in the coming days.
