Arsenal is determined to bring in Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães. According to Brazilian media, as cited by Index.hr, the English clubs are finalizing a deal worth an estimated €100 million, or £85 million. Meanwhile, insider Nicolo Schira reports that Arsenal is already awaiting Newcastle's response to a concrete bid of €90 million.
Guimarães has reportedly already agreed personal terms with the London club on a contract running until the summer of 2031. Arsenal is confident the transfer will be completed in the coming days.
Newcastle has found a successor to Eddie Howe, who parted ways with the club. According to Fabrizio Romano, Matthias Jaissle will become the new head coach. The English club has agreed to pay Al Ahli a compensation fee of €11 million for the German tactician, who won the AFC Champions League twice with the Saudi side, and the contract will run until June 30, 2030.
