A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday evening in Primošten when a 63-year-old Austrian citizen sustained severe bodily injuries after falling from an electric scooter. According to the report from the Šibenik-Knin Police Department, the accident happened on August 11, 2026, at around 9 p.m. on Huljerat Street, within the campsite area.
The police investigation revealed that the rider was operating the scooter under the influence of alcohol and without a protective helmet. Additionally, he failed to adjust his speed to the characteristics and condition of the road and visibility conditions, which led to a loss of control and a fall to the ground.
Following the accident, the 63-year-old was transported to the Split University Hospital Center (KBC Split), where doctors confirmed severe bodily injuries. Due to violations of the Road Traffic Safety Act, the police issued a mandatory misdemeanor citation against him.
