From Friday, August 28, to Sunday, August 30, 2026, Sisak will once again come alive along the Kupa River. This year's edition of Kupske Noći takes place at Šetnica Slave Striegla, and according to announcements from City Portal VG, the music program is headlined by Vojko V, Peki, and Željko Bebek.
The first music block is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026, at 9:30 PM, when Vojko V and Peki will entertain the audience, followed by a DJ set. The following evening, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 9 PM, Željko Bebek takes the stage.
The event kicks off on Friday at 4 PM with the opening of the exhibition "River Shipping of Sisak on Old Postcards" by Vlatko Čakširan, displayed on the ship Biokovo. Starting at 5 PM, the traditional Kupska Alka begins, along with numerous workshops for the youngest visitors. Children will have the chance to draw, listen to fairy tales, get face painting, and create Roman coin replicas.
A "Little School of River Sailors" is also organized, where participants will learn about sailing a šikljа, tying fishing knots, river safety, and environmental conservation.
Saturday's schedule starts early in the morning. At Pogorelac, from 9 to 11 AM, a beach volleyball tournament will take place, with shuttle boat service provided from the promenade to the opposite bank. Throughout the day, guided tours of Šetnica Slave Striegla, children's workshops, and demonstrations of traditional crafts will be held.
The main sporting event will be Šikljada, a race of traditional boats, running from 1 PM to 8 PM. Visitors will be able to see how fish were once caught on the Kupa, how hemp fabric is made, and try their hand at pottery and clay modeling. The food court opens at 1 PM, with food distribution starting at 4 PM.
The final day, Sunday, August 30, 2026, is focused on ecology. From 10 AM to 1 PM, the Sisak Diving Club organizes a Kupa cleanup action called "I Love the Kupa Permanently," while workshops by the SKLine Association will be held at the same time.
Over three days, Kupske Noći thus combines concert programming, sports, tradition, history, children's activities, and river-based events, with Šetnica Slave Striegla as the central venue for all happenings.
