Croatian head coach Slaven Bilić is finalizing his coaching staff for a new stint at the helm of the Vatreni. According to information revealed to 24sata by journalist Hrvoje Tironi and reported by Tportal, Bilić has found two new faces for the fitness department: seasoned Englishman Nick Davies from the Premier League and Rijeka-based expert Fedor Kulušić.

Davies Brings Premier League Experience

Nick Davies (48) joins from Everton, where he has been working under manager David Moyes since last summer. His extensive CV includes stints at Charlton, West Ham, Birmingham, Norwich, Tottenham, and West Bromwich Albion, where he previously worked with Bilić. He has also gained experience in India and as part of the Welsh national team's coaching setup.

Bilić had to secure permission from David Moyes to bring Davies on board, and it remains unclear whether the 48-year-old Englishman will leave Everton or juggle duties at both club and international level. "Bilić wanted someone he trusts and who knows his methods."

Kulušić Arrives from Rujevica

Fedor Kulušić (39) is the second addition to the national team's fitness department. He currently works at the HNK Rijeka Academy, but boasts rich international experience. He previously collaborated with Bilić at Saudi club Al Fateh, and before that worked at Al-Batin with the coaching staff of Rijeka's coach Alen Horvat.

Last season, Kulušić served as the fitness coach in the staff of Spaniard Victor Sanchez at Rijeka. After Sanchez left Rujevica and the club was taken over by Matjaž Kek and his associates, Kulušić was moved to the youth academy this season. Now he faces a major career leap.

A Staff of Familiar Faces

With the additions of Davies and Kulušić, Bilić has completed his team, which, alongside the already known names, includes Nikola Jurčević, Danilo Butorović, Dean Računica, and goalkeeping coach Vatroslav Mihačić. The biggest challenge for the head coach was finding fitness coaches, as Luka Milanović left with former coach Zlatko Dalić for the Emirates.

Bilić therefore turned to trusted associates. "For Bilić, it's particularly important that he's reached for people he knows and trusts. One comes from the English Premier League environment, the other from Rijeka football, and both have experience working at the highest level," concludes Tportal.
