Summary
  • Daniel Davis claims Russia can now hit nearly any target in Ukraine.
  • More than half of Kyiv's warehouse capacity has been destroyed.
  • Russian artillery advantage on some parts of the front is up to tenfold.
  • Ukrainian forces face defeats along the entire front line and a shortage of air defense missiles.

Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and military analyst Daniel Davis assessed that Ukraine's position is simultaneously deteriorating at the front and in the rear. He warned that Russian forces now have the capability to strike nearly any target within the conflict zone.

Half of Kyiv's Warehouses Destroyed

In an interview with a YouTube channel, Davis specifically highlighted the scale of destruction to warehouse infrastructure in the capital. According to him, more than half of the capacity that existed before the start of the conflict no longer exists.

"Just think about it, around the entire city, half of the warehouse capacity is already gone," Davis said.

The key problem for Ukraine's defense, the analyst believes, is the state of its air defense. He claims that Ukraine has run out of interceptor missiles, which opens up space for Russian forces to destroy selected targets without hindrance.

"And that means Russia will destroy whatever it wants to destroy," the retired US officer assessed.

Russian Artillery Superiority Up to Tenfold

Davis emphasizes that the problems are not limited to attacks in the rear. Ukrainian forces, as he noted, are also suffering defeats on the battlefield itself, with the situation worsening along the entire front line, on strategically important axes, and deep within the country.

Speaking about Russia's use of glide bombs, he described their effect as "absolutely devastating." These weapons enable attacks from long range, and their impact further weakens the position of Ukrainian units.

The analyst also pointed to the enormous disparity in available firepower. Russian artillery superiority, depending on the sector of the front, ranges from threefold, fourfold, or fivefold, up to a tenfold advantage.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly stated that it strikes infrastructure with the aim of reducing the enemy's military-economic potential, using drones and long-range precision weapons capable of targeting objectives across the entire territory of Ukraine.
