Croatian footballer Domagoj Bradarić provided an assist for a goal in his Hellas Verona side's victory over Entella in the first round of the Coppa Italia. The match, played on Sunday evening at the Bentegodi stadium, ended 2-2 in regular time, with Verona progressing via a superior penalty shootout (3-2).
Bradarić, a occasional Croatia international and former Hajduk player (from 2007 to 2019), assisted Amin Sarr's goal that put Verona ahead 2-1. He left the pitch in the 81st minute while his team was still leading.
Entella took the lead in the 16th minute through Bernat Guiu, but Verona responded quickly. Mattia Compagnon equalized in the 20th minute, and Sarr scored from 20 meters in the 36th minute to make it 2-1. However, Andrea Franzoni converted a penalty in the 85th minute to level the score and send the match to a penalty shootout.
In the shootout, Verona triumphed 3-2.
