Cibona's basketball players gathered on Monday, August 10, 2026, officially kicking off preparations for the 2026/27 season, which brings challenges on three different fronts. The first training session under head coach Ivan Rudež was held in the new kit, marking the debut of the partnership between the Zagreb club and new technical partner Adidas on the court. On this occasion, club director Tomislav Šerić also spoke, highlighting the importance of this partnership: "The collaboration with adidas represents a significant step in Cibona's development and a confirmation of the values our club has carried for eight decades. We are aligning with a global brand that understands sport, excellence, and the importance of nurturing new generations of players. We believe this partnership will further strengthen our sporting identity, as well as our connection with the fans who have always been an inseparable part of Cibona."
In the initial phase of preparations, the emphasis will be on building physical fitness, gradually integrating new players into the system, and fostering team cohesion. After the first week of work in Zagreb, the team will travel to Lošinj for a training camp. The stay on the island is planned as a period of more intensive training, tactical drills, and further team bonding ahead of the competitive season.
The Wolves from Tuškanac face commitments in the SuperSport Premier League, the AdmiralBet ABA League, and the Basketball Champions League in the new season. The coaching staff is led by head coach Ivan Rudež, assisted by Neven Nikolić and Andrej Štimac. Bruno Damjan is in charge of conditioning, while physiotherapists Nikica Šišgorić and Ivan Jazbec will look after the players' health. Organizational support for the team will be provided by first-team manager Ante Pavlak.
The full playing roster for the 2026/27 season is as follows:
Sporting director Marin Rožić did not hide his satisfaction with the work done during the summer break.
"After a long and busy summer, we have started preparations for the new season. Behind us is a very demanding period during which we worked intensively on assembling the team, and when I look at what we've accomplished, I can say I'm satisfied. We look forward to the first preseason games, and then to the start of official competitions in the Basketball Champions League, the ABA League, and the Croatian championship," Rožić told Index.hr.
