Summary
  • Hajduk and Ajax share first place in Group A with four points each, and Hajduk plays Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.
  • Dinamo is second in Group B with three points and needs a win against leaders Benfica to reach the final.
  • GNK Dinamo has also signed 19-year-old Noah Nsoki from PSG.

Dinamo and Hajduk's youth teams are in an excellent position ahead of the final round of the group stage of the Mladen Ramljak international tournament. Both sides have realistic chances of winning their groups and setting up a head-to-head clash for the trophy, with the final decision to be made on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Hajduk Shares Top Spot with Ajax

After two rounds played, Hajduk is tied for first place in Group A with Dutch side Ajax. Both teams have four points, while Athletic Bilbao trails with three. Bologna sits at the bottom without a single point.

In the second round, the Split side were on the verge of beating Ajax. Toni Ruso gave Hajduk the lead as early as the 10th minute, but Tyrese Teuwsen equalized just three minutes later. Ante Bralić scored again for Hajduk in the 52nd minute, and the team held a 2-1 lead until the penultimate minute of the match, when Luca de Baat headed in the final 2-2 equalizer.

In the final round, Hajduk will face Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, while Ajax will take on Bologna. These matches will decide who advances to the final from Group A.

Dinamo Chases Benfica

Dinamo is in a slightly more complicated situation in Group B. Benfica leads with four points, while Dinamo and Juventus have three each. Brugge is last with one point. The team led by coach Milan Badelj will face Benfica in the final round, while Juventus meets Brugge.

A win against the Portuguese club would almost certainly take Dinamo to the final, and depending on the result of the other match, a draw could also be enough.

Reinforcement from Paris

While the youth team chases the trophy, the Zagreb club has also announced a notable signing for the future. Nineteen-year-old Noah Nsoki has moved from Paris Saint-Germain to GNK Dinamo, arriving in Zagreb with his entire family to sign the contract. "Chère famille Nsoki, bienvenue à Zagreb! 💙," the club wrote on their official Twitter profile. The arrival was captured by club photographer Luka Stanzl.
