Sunday, August 9, 2026, brought an unusual sight to the Alka racecourse in Sinj. Among the sponsor panels of the 311th Sinj Alka, a knightly game under UNESCO protection, the crest of Zagreb's Dinamo appeared. Photographers Ivana Ivanović and Zvonimir Barišin captured this extraordinary moment that connected the ancient Alka tradition with Croatia's most decorated football club.

Thousands of visitors arrived in Sinj to follow this ancient knightly game. The town was lively from early morning, with preparations continuing until the last moment.

Alka and Football on the Same Day

While in Sinj, 17 Alka knights in three races vied for the title of victor, showcasing precision, skill, courage, and a steady hand, Dinamo was preparing in its own way for a historic day. The Alka began at 5:00 PM, and just an hour and a half later, at 6:30 PM, the Ramljak26 final kicked off at Maksimir-the last match on the main pitch before the planned demolition of the iconic stadium.

The day before, the club had called on fans via its official Twitter profile to fill the West Stand lower tier, which opened at 5:30 PM. "We invite you to support the Blues in this historic final," Dinamo said, announcing the clash against Dutch side AFC Ajax with free entry for all spectators. The match could be watched live exclusively on the Dinamo Plus platform.

New Signing from Paris

Amid the weekend's events, Dinamo officially confirmed the completion of Noah Nsoki's transfer on Saturday, August 8. The 19-year-old, born in Tournan-en-Brie near Paris, arrived from PSG. "The talented 19-year-old comes to Maksimir from PSG, with whom he won two U19 French championship titles, as well as last year's senior Ligue 1 title and the Trophée des Champions," the club announced on Twitter.

Nsoki, who plays as a left winger and attacking midfielder, will wear the number 77 shirt at Dinamo. With two youth and one senior French championship title, plus the French Super Cup, the young Frenchman arrives with a winning pedigree from one of Europe's biggest clubs.
