Croatian drivers can expect another fuel price increase starting Tuesday, August 18, 2026. According to unofficial information published by Dnevnik Nove TV and HRT, owners of diesel vehicles will feel the biggest impact, as a liter of Eurodiesel is expected to rise by 11 cents, to €1.82.
Gasoline will see a slightly milder increase, but still significant. According to announcements, the price of Eurosuper 95 could rise by seven cents, bringing the new price to €1.63. Similarly, blue diesel is expected to increase by 11 cents per liter, reaching €1.29.
The biggest price hike will hit diesel car drivers the hardest. If the price increases by 11 cents per liter, filling up the tank will be considerably more expensive than before. Users of blue diesel will pay the same difference per liter, which will particularly affect farmers and other users of this fuel.
The Croatian Government has introduced a new model under which fuel prices will no longer be adjusted every two weeks, but every week. As a result, drivers will likely check pump prices more frequently and adjust their fuel costs accordingly, rather than relying on the usual biweekly schedule.
Currently, this information is unofficial. The Government is expected to make an official decision early next week, with new prices taking effect from Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
