The suspect is N.K. from Dubrovnik, who, according to information from the Dubrovnik Daily, is employed as a security guard and head of security at the renowned Revelin club in Dubrovnik.

Arrest in the Old Town

According to the police report, the suspect was spotted late at night on Friday, August 7, 2026, in the old town area of Dubrovnik. At that time, he handed over a package containing drugs to a foreign national. Police quickly responded and seized one gram of cocaine from the buyer, a Serbian citizen. The buyer was then taken to official premises where he was issued a misdemeanor citation in accordance with the Law on Combating Drug Abuse.

Simultaneously, the 52-year-old dealer was also taken into custody. Upon arrest, he voluntarily surrendered three packages containing a total of 2.8 grams of cocaine, which he had hidden in his clothing. A further search by police officers revealed an additional three packages containing a total of 2.4 grams of cocaine hidden in a modified casing of a technical device that was part of his work equipment.

Apartment Search Uncovers Mini Drug Factory

Based on a warrant from the County Court in Dubrovnik, a search was conducted on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the apartment in Dubrovnik used by the suspect. The results of the search were significantly more serious. A total of 430 grams of cocaine, packaged in four larger packages, was found and seized. In addition to the drugs, police also found two precision digital scales for weighing and as many as 294 empty PVC bags intended for street-level resale.

Pretrial Detention Ordered

Following the completion of the criminal investigation, the 52-year-old suspect was handed over to the custody supervisor of the Dubrovnik-Neretva Police Department along with a criminal complaint. The investigating judge of the County Court in Dubrovnik ordered pretrial detention for up to one month, after which he was transferred to the Dubrovnik Prison.
