Barcelona swiftly rejected that offer, believing that a player who played a key role in winning the World Cup is worth more. The Parisians are expected to increase their bid, with Romano stating that the total value of the deal could reach €50 million, although Barcelona insists that only the €40 million offer has been officially received so far.
The French champions see Torres as an excellent market opportunity. The Spanish international has just one year left on his contract with Barcelona, which has lowered his price.
