Edin Džeko, captain of the Bosnia-Herzegovina national team, and Ivan Perišić, Croatian international, clearly don't miss any chance to be together. After meeting in Sarajevo a few days ago, the two experienced footballers reunited once again, this time in Gelsenkirchen.
Filip Barbarez, whose father Sergej is the head coach of Bosnia-Herzegovina, shared a photo of their latest meeting on social media. Alongside Džeko and Perišić, other well-known footballers were also present.
The group photo also included Bosnia-Herzegovina international Nikola Katić and Dejan Ljubičić, making the get-together in Gelsenkirchen a gathering of an interesting football crowd.
What's particularly intriguing is that Perišić had played for PSV the day before. His club played away against Excelsior, and afterward, the Croatian forward traveled to Germany to visit Džeko.
Džeko and Perišić know each other well from their playing days together. They both played for Inter, and it's clear their friendship has continued even after their career paths diverged.
A few days ago, the duo spent time together in Sarajevo, and this new meeting confirms that the bond between them extends beyond the pitch. In Gelsenkirchen, Džeko is one of Schalke's most important players, while Perišić still plays in the Netherlands for PSV.
Filip's photo thus showcased yet another gathering of famous footballers, and it's especially interesting that Perišić found time after his club match to travel to Gelsenkirchen and support his old friend.
