The son of the famous Croatian singer Severina, Aleksandar Popović, received the sacrament of confirmation in May this year. This important religious rite, one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church, represents the moment when a believer confirms their faith and receives the Holy Spirit.
The proud mother did not hide her emotions and shared a series of photos from that special day on her Instagram profile. Alongside her and her son, the photos also featured the godmother, family, and close friends. Many followers also noticed how much Aleksandar has grown, pointing out that he is now taller than his mother.
Alongside the published photos, Severina wrote a touching dedication: "[Holy Confirmation] The confirmand, the godmother, mom... family and friends wish you a beautiful, happy, and blessed life, my beautiful son...16.05.2026."
However, it was precisely these photos that revealed a detail previously unknown to the public. On one of the gifts Aleksandar received, his full name is clearly visible - Aleksandar Mihael Popović. Thus, seemingly unintentionally, the singer revealed to the public that her son also bears the second, baptismal name Mihael.
Interestingly, Severina has not often spoken publicly about this part of her son's name. The discovery came quite by accident, thanks to the photos from the celebration of this important religious event, reports Story.hr.
