To avoid unnecessary waiting or trips to the emergency room for ailments that can be treated outside the hospital, it's important to know where to seek help in Zagreb outside regular working hours.
According to information released by the City of Zagreb and reported by Zagreb.info, special on-call services for family doctors, pediatricians, and dentists have been organized for residents. These on-call clinics are spread across several locations and provide care on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
The working hours of the on-call services vary by day. On Saturdays, clinics are open from 3 PM to 8 PM. On Sundays and public holidays, residents can seek help during a slightly longer window, from 8 AM to 8 PM.
The on-call services are organized within three Zagreb health centers. In the area of Health Center Zagreb, Centar, family medicine doctors are available at two addresses: Runjaninova 4 and Avenija Većeslava Holjevca 22. At the latter address, there is also a pediatric clinic for preschool children.
In the area of Health Center Zagreb, Istok, family doctors are on duty at Grižanska 4, Ivanićgradska 38, and Ninska 16. Pediatric on-call services are organized at Grižanska 4. Residents who fall under Health Center Zagreb, Zapad can visit family medicine clinics at Matije Vlačića Ilirika 2 and Park Stara Trešnjevka 3, while the pediatric clinic is located at Zvonigradska 9.
