The 33rd International Bjelovar Autumn Fair, held from September 11 to 13, 2026, features the National Livestock Exhibition, the Bambino Cup, and a new Rescue and Protection Fair.
Autumn in Croatia once again begins in Gudovac. From September 11 to 13, 2026, the fairgrounds there will host the 33rd edition of the International Bjelovar Autumn Fair, the central annual gathering for domestic agriculture. Breeders, producers, exhibitors, experts, and families will come together in one place, with a program that blends tradition, knowledge, and a forward-looking perspective on the sector.
The heart of the fair this year, as always, is the National Livestock Exhibition. Visitors will have the chance to see numerous valuable breeds and meet the people who have worked for decades to preserve them. A special place will be reserved for the Croatian Posavac, one of the native horse breeds, alongside Lipizzaners, Gidrans, and Arabian horses. The presentation of this breed comes in collaboration with the Central Association of Horse Breeders and dedicated breeders, who see it as part of national tradition and heritage.
The fair is not just a showcase of livestock. Visitors can expect agricultural machinery and equipment, the latest technological solutions, and products from local producers. Organizers also announce an educational segment, with expert lectures and discussions on the challenges facing Croatian farmers. The goal is to demonstrate how modern technology is transforming daily life on farms and in the fields.
The youngest will once again have their big moment at the Bambino Cup, a competition where children present calves. Through play and socializing, they learn about livestock farming, responsibility, and animal care. Organizers say that such activities ensure the heritage has a future.
This year's novelty is the Rescue and Protection Fair, open to all visitors. The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS), firefighters, police, emergency medical services, and civil protection will present their capabilities and equipment. Demonstrations, displayed vehicles, and interactive content for the whole family are planned. As part of the program, a Tactical-Technical Assembly of Civil Protection Operational Forces will also be held, offering a unique opportunity to see live the equipment and resources available to these forces.
For three days, Gudovac will be a place where visitors can taste products from family farms, inspect machinery, discover traditional products, and get a glimpse of the technologies that will shape the agriculture of the future.
