The Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) reported on Sunday, August 2, 2026, that at the Karasovići border crossing, there is a nine-hour wait for vehicles leaving the country. The queue of vehicles stretched all the way to Čilipi this morning, as confirmed by drivers on the Facebook group Zavazda Konavle, and reported by Dubrovniknet.

Traffic congestion through Konavle shows no signs of easing. The last weekend of July once again brought a traffic blockade to Croatia's southernmost region, causing difficulties for local residents and requiring great patience from travelers wishing to cross the border. According to police data, last year during the final weekend of July, more than 52,000 vehicles passed through the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

Situation at Borders in Serbia

Meanwhile, the Auto-Moto Association of Serbia (AMSS) reported on July 31, 2026, on the conditions on roads and border crossings in Serbia. According to information from the Border Police Directorate, the longest waits for passenger vehicles are recorded at Horgos border crossing, where entry waits are 60 minutes.

At Gradina border crossing, passenger vehicles wait 30 minutes both on exit and entry. At Preševo border crossing, the wait on exit is 20 minutes, and on entry 30 minutes. Shorter waits were recorded at Gostun border crossing (20 minutes on entry) and Špiljani border crossing (15 minutes on entry). At other border crossings, there are no delays for any vehicle category.

According to data from the public enterprise "Roads of Serbia," there are no vehicle delays at toll stations on highways in the Republic of Serbia, AMSS announced, as reported by Kurir.rs.
