HNK Gorica put tickets on sale on Monday for the 3rd round of the SuperSport HNL match against Hajduk, which will be played on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Velika Gorica, starting at 9 PM. Both teams have entered the new season without a win, and this match will be an opportunity for one of them to finally secure their first three points. A poor start to the championship brings an extra dose of pressure, but also a strong desire to turn things around in this very match.
No wins after two rounds
Gorica's players, under coach Mario Carević, are still waiting for their first points after two rounds. On the other hand, Hajduk opened the season with a 2-1 loss in Varaždin, followed by a 2-2 draw at Poljud against Istra 1961. The Split club is also seeking its first league win, having earned just one point so far.
Where to buy tickets and how much do they cost?
Tickets for this match can be purchased through the Sportify platform and at the Ticket point, i.e., the West ticket office. "The ticket office will be open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday," reads the announcement on HNK Gorica's website. Prices for home sections range from 12 to 18 euros, with discounted prices for club members. Tickets for the away section, which includes sectors C1 and C2, are available exclusively through HNK Hajduk Split at a price of 15 euros.
The shadow of Varaždin: arson and criminal charges
The question of whether Torcida will again consider the price too high is a natural one. During the away match in Varaždin, the home team initially set the price for away fans at 18 euros, with inadequate conditions in the stands. Torcida then called for a boycott of the match, after which NK Varaždin accommodated them by lowering the price to 10 euros.
Despite this, around 150 Torcida members arrived at the south stand of the Varteks stadium. After the match, they set fire to more than 50 seats and physically broke about ten others. Due to the damage caused, the Varaždin football club filed a criminal complaint with the police.
Whether the 15-euro price in Velika Gorica will provoke a similar reaction from the fans from the south remains to be seen. What is certain is that both sides will have support from the stands, but the question is in what numbers and in what atmosphere.
