An investigation revealed that the ownership structure of the Vodice club where the Serbian singer is set to perform leads to the well-known Croatian actress.
The announced concert of Serbian folk singer Jelena Karleuša at the Hacienda club in Vodice on the feast of the Assumption of Mary, August 15, 2026, has sparked a wave of disapproval among parts of the Croatian public. While a potential silent protest by veterans is anticipated, an investigation by the portal Teleskop.hr has uncovered an unexpected ownership trail linking the club to Croatian actress Jelena Perčin.
According to data from the court register, the company HACIENDA VODICE d.o.o., which operated at the club's address for years, entered bankruptcy proceedings in June of this year. The club, however, continued its operations and event organization. Its current official price list lists PHANTOM BAR d.o.o. as the legal entity, with Kristijan Babić as its director.
Further examination of the ownership structure reveals a chain leading to the company BAROMETAR d.o.o. from Zagreb, whose sole member is none other than Jelena Perčin. While this does not mean the actress personally contracted Karleuša's performance, her ownership of the key business entity associated with Hacienda sheds new light on the club's background.
Kristijan Babić, director of both PHANTOM BAR and BAROMETAR, is a familiar face on Zagreb's hospitality scene and the owner of the Mint group, a regional platform that included Hacienda in its portfolio in 2025. His name appears in the management structures of numerous companies, and Teleskop.hr notes that on April 30, 2026, he practically simultaneously returned to director positions at PHANTOM BAR and BAROMETAR.
Bablić's business network is impressive: he is currently director of companies such as Amnesija, ECO MAX, THINK CREATIVE, CHIPO BAR, BASTA GOURMET, LIDO MEDIJA, and SIMPLE BAR, a member of the management board of KAŠUN, and a proxy for BEST FESTIVAL and Pedalina. He also became known to the public as the first husband of Jelena Perčin. Their marriage lasted from 2008 to 2011, and they have a daughter named Lota together. Despite the divorce, they have remained on excellent friendly terms.
The mayor of Vodice, Ante Cukrov, stated that he has information that a silent protest by veterans is being prepared due to the concert, given Karleuša's earlier negative comments about Croatia. The organizers have issued a statement asking for respectful communication.
"Dear followers, we are aware of the different opinions and reactions regarding the announced concert on August 15. We want to emphasize that the club's program takes place during the night hours. The club doors open at 11 PM, while performances begin after midnight, i.e., on August 16, thus after the feast of the Assumption," the organizers from Hacienda said.
They also added that they will not tolerate hate speech, insults, or threats, emphasizing that Hacienda is a place of music, entertainment, and mutual respect.
With the takeover of Hacienda in 2025, the Mint group, according to Kristijan Babić, closed its strategic investment cycle. The goal is to create a professional and sustainable club network covering all parts of Croatia. This summer, Hacienda has already hosted numerous regional stars such as Aca Lukas, Dragana Mirković, Rade Manojlović, Senidah, Vojko V, and others, indicating a clear programming orientation for the club.
"With the takeover of Hacienda, we are closing an investment cycle, a strategic plan we have been developing over the past few years, creating a professional, connected, and sustainable club network that offers artists and partners a clear structure, flexibility, and quality production, as well as business security in all parts of Croatia. Hacienda is not just a club, it is a club institution," Babić stated in 2025.
While waiting for August 15, the question remains open as to who is the formal organizer of Karleuša's concert itself and through which company the event will be financially conducted. The business background of the club is now, however, considerably clearer than before, and the unexpected link to Jelena Perčin has further complicated an already sensitive situation.
