Renowned TV host Suzana Mančić has taken on a new role-that of a grandmother. Her daughter Teodora Kunić has given birth to a son, whom she and her husband, General Miroslav Talijan, have named Mijat. The news was announced on August 3, 2026, and also brings the story of the new father's impressive career.
Miroslav Talijan, the son-in-law of the famous TV host, was born in 1970 in Smederevska Palanka. His education began at the Military High School and continued at the Military Academy, where he specialized in infantry. He furthered his studies with a master's degree from the Faculty of Security, specialized studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences, and a doctorate earned in 2008 from the Military Academy.
He built his career gradually, from platoon commander in a military police company to responsible positions in parachute and counter-terrorism units. A significant part of his professional path was dedicated to educating new officers as the head of the Military Academy and the head of the National Defense School. In 2018, he was appointed to the prestigious position of commander of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade.
Mijat is General Talijan's sixth child. From his first marriage, he has three children, and from his marriage to Marija Pavković, daughter of Nebojša Pavković, he has two. The age difference between him and Teodora Kunić is 23 years.
A few months after their church wedding, the couple recently also had a civil ceremony at the Stari Grad municipality in Belgrade. Photos from the wedding were shared on social media by their best man, accompanied by an emotional message.
"Yesterday, at the Stari Grad municipality, I had the exceptional honor, privilege, and immense pleasure to attend, as a witness and best man to my dear Miroslav, the solemn act of civil marriage with his chosen one, and as of yesterday, my dear kuma Teodora Talijan. Being a best man at the beginning of the shared life journey of two wonderful people, who are crowning their sincere love with marriage, represents a special moment filled with pride, responsibility, and the most beautiful emotions," wrote the best man, as reported by Kurir.rs.
