From September 25 to 27, 2026, Zagreb's Arena will once again become the hub of the local design scene. The ninth edition of the InDizajn fair brings back the Bazar, a popular "designer street" that brings together artists, artisans, and designers whose work blends contemporary expression with handmade craftsmanship. Visitors will have the chance to meet the creators in person and purchase unique pieces not available in regular retail, as reported by Nacionalni Portal. The Bazar is conceived as a unique opportunity to meet the authors live, discover new names, and find pieces that will make your home distinctive and special, the organizers emphasize. For those who appreciate artisanal pieces and seek unique items beyond standard store offerings, the Bazar is the ideal chance to support local craftsmen and meet the creators behind the most sought-after brands in the world of interior design.
Exclusives Worth Seeking Out
A special draw for ceramics enthusiasts will be the family studio Marinski Heartmades from Kastav. They arrive at the fair with a limited series of nature-inspired mugs available exclusively to visitors, and they will also premiere new types of plates. The brand SITO, whose porcelain is developed for fine dining restaurants, presents a line inspired by the Japanese kintsugi technique of joining with gold resin, as well as a new sub-brand SITOhome featuring wall tiles. A romantic touch of hand-painted tableware comes from the studio Odeata, whose tradition spans twenty years.
Mediterranean, Corals, and Tropical Butterflies
For those seeking a bold visual statement, independent artist Ana Kolega will showcase vibrant canvases, wooden miniatures, and functional objects with warm Mediterranean motifs. A true conversation piece will be the framed blue butterflies from the genus Morpho, brought by the brand Leptiri Svijeta, sourced from strictly controlled and sustainable breeding programs. The team at OaZo Ceramics will present sculptural lamps and candlesticks from the Porifera collection inspired by corals, along with Sky Pots hanging planters for air plants.
From Wabi-Sabi to Terrazzo
The Bazar's offerings cover a wide range of styles. Lovers of softer lines can choose among mugs and vases in the wabi-sabi spirit from the brand Ifka Pifka, while Deco Destiny brings the Golden Hour collection with rich tones of candles in the Art Deco style. Geometric decor and Jesmonite jewelry from the brand Tvoja soba will be complemented by walnut wood ornaments and eco-friendly candles in ECO concrete from the craft M Design Home.
From Rijeka comes BoodyWoody with concrete clocks and table lamps in terrazzo technique, and from Crikvenica BabaMara Handmade with linen and cotton textiles adorned with original linocut prints. The warm atmosphere will be rounded out by handmade lampshades from Gita Lampshades and marble candles and diffusers from Mila Design Studio. The Bazar offers solutions for every taste, from delicate aesthetics to raw minimalism.
Organize Your Home the Marie Kondo Way
In addition to the exhibition and sales area, visitors can also enjoy a practical experience. The craft Root of Joy, led by Croatia's first certified KonMari® consultant Petra Pupić, will demonstrate professional space organization according to the Marie Kondo method live. Through interactive folding demonstrations and the "spark joy" principle, those interested will see how home organization can be holistic, functional, and cheerful all at once.
