The Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) on Saturday, August 8, 2026, reports increased traffic on most roads toward the sea, especially on highways. Drivers are advised to adjust their speed and driving style to current conditions, and in the coastal area, restrictions are in place for certain vehicle groups due to wind.
On the A1 Zagreb-Split-Dubrovnik highway, traffic is increased between the Lučko toll plaza and the Bosiljevo 2 interchange in the direction of the sea. Vehicles are moving in groups with intermittent stops. A deer was spotted at the 7+000 km section, resulting in a speed limit of 80 km/h.
On the A3 Bregana-Lipovac highway, at the Ivanić Grad interchange in the direction of Lipovac, a dog is on the roadway. Traffic is being directed along two lanes, with a speed limit of 80 km/h.
Due to a traffic accident on the A3 between the Nova Gradiška and Okučani interchanges (at 164+900 km) in the direction of Bregana, traffic is moving along two lanes with a limit of 80 km/h.
On the A6 highway connecting Rijeka and Zagreb, at kilometer 26+700, between the Vrbovsko and Ravna Gora exits, in the direction of Rijeka, a traffic accident has been recorded. Traffic is moving along two lanes, with a speed limit of 60 km/h.
On the A7 Rupa-Križišće highway, two accidents are reported. On the entrance ramp of the Rujevica interchange (ramp 2) in the direction of Križišće, traffic is moving in one lane with a limit of 60 km/h. An accident also occurred at the Rupa toll plaza in the direction of Križišće.
On the A2 Zagreb-Macelj highway, queues have formed at the Trakošćan toll plaza. In the direction of Zagreb, the queue is about 4 km long, while in the direction of Macelj, it is 1 km long.
