The Municipality of Župa dubrovačka has once again issued an appeal to residents and visitors of Kupari beach to move exclusively along the marked pedestrian corridor when passing through the area of the tourist complex and not to enter the active construction zone. The appeal was published on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Corridor ensures beach access despite works

The pedestrian passage was established in cooperation with Kupari Luxury Hotels d.o.o., which is carrying out the renovation of the tourist complex. The goal was to enable citizens and guests to continue coming to Kupari beach while construction works are underway.

"In agreement with Kupari Luxury Hotels d.o.o., the investor of the Kupari tourist complex renovation, the pedestrian corridor was established to allow citizens and visitors access to Kupari beach despite ongoing construction works," the Municipality of Župa dubrovačka stated.

Security guards report frequent fence damage

According to data from the construction site security service, there have been increasingly frequent incidents in recent days where protective fences are damaged and moved, and individuals enter and move outside the permitted corridor, within the area where works are being carried out.

"Such behavior poses a serious safety risk to individuals entering the construction site and also hinders the organization and safe execution of construction works," the Municipality's statement reads.

Warning: corridor may be closed

The Municipality calls on all users to respect the installed fences, warnings, and instructions from security guards, and to move to and from the beach only via the designated pedestrian passage. It is particularly emphasized that if non-compliance with safety rules and entry into the construction site continues, the investor will be forced to consider closing the corridor to protect citizens and ensure the smooth progress of works.

Corridor working hours

The corridor is open daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, while it is closed from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

"By respecting the established rules, we can jointly ensure that access to Kupari beach remains open and safe for everyone," the Municipality of Župa dubrovačka concludes.
