The summer transfer window has entered its final phase, and one of the biggest open questions remains the future of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. According to French outlet L'Équipe, Liverpool has submitted an official bid of €115 million for the 23-year-old.
Although this is a generous offer, sources agree that the Parisian club will reject it. PSG values their player at around €150 million, excluding bonuses. Le Figaro reports that the club's management is open to letting him go, given that Barcola's contract runs until 2028.
Liverpool's key advantage in these negotiations is the fact that the player has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the 2025 English champions. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, and the final outcome could mark the end of the summer market.
While the Barcola saga continues, Arsenal has, according to Sky Sports, agreed on a major deal. An agreement has been reached with Newcastle for the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães for €88 million. The player has been given permission to undergo a medical, and an official announcement is expected soon.
The big story also continues around Spanish national team captain Rodri. Barcelona has sent a bid of just over €45 million, but Manchester City is demanding at least €70 million for their standout player from the last World Cup. Marca reports that Rodri has already informed the Catalan club that he wants to join Hansi Flick's team.
The summer transfer window, which opened on June 15 in the English, German, and French leagues, and on July 1 in Italy, closes on September 1, 2026.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso commented on rumors about a new goalkeeper, downplaying their significance. "I am very happy with the goalkeepers I have. Mike Penders was excellent at Strasbourg, and Sanchez has great experience after many years in the Premier League," Alonso stated.
