Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland are the highest-rated male players in the upcoming EA FC 27 video game, both receiving an overall rating of 91. According to data released by Goal.com, Mbappé, the Real Madrid forward, has retained his position with the highest rating, while Haaland, the Manchester City striker, has been upgraded from 90 to 91.
The duo are the only male players with a rating of 91 in this year's edition, positioning them as the leading pair in the virtual arena. Behind them, several stars have a rating of 90: Rodri from Manchester City, Ousmane Dembele from Paris Saint-Germain, Harry Kane from Bayern Munich, and Michael Olise, also from Bayern, who received a four-point boost.
Lionel Messi, the Inter Miami player, has seen a significant jump from 86 to 89, following his heroics at the World Cup with Argentina. Also at 89 is Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United, who was rewarded with an upgrade from 87 to 89 after leading the club back to the Champions League.
On the other hand, Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool's captain, has suffered a sharp decline from 90 to 88. This reduction has sparked controversy among Liverpool fans, although the Dutch defender remains one of the highest-rated in his position. The 88-rated group also includes William Saliba and Declan Rice from Arsenal, Joshua Kimmich and Luis Diaz from Bayern Munich.
In the women's category, Alexia Putellas, the new signing for London City Lionesses, remains the highest-rated with a score of 91. Behind her is Aitana Bonmati from Barcelona, the Ballon d'Or winner, who has been downgraded from 91 to 90 after an injury-plagued season. Khadija Shaw from Manchester City also has a rating of 90, while her teammate Yui Hasegawa received a boost from 85 to 88.
A surprising downgrade was given to Alessia Russo from Arsenal, who dropped from 89 to 88 despite scoring 24 goals in all competitions. On the other hand, Claudia Pina from Barcelona received a three-point boost, from 86 to 89, joining her club teammates Ewa Pajor (88 to 89) and Caroline Graham Hansen (90 to 89).
EA Sports has confirmed that the full database of over 21,000 players will be revealed in stages throughout the week, covering the Premier League, La Liga, and the Bundesliga. The official release of the game is scheduled for September 25, 2026, while those who purchase the Ultimate Edition will be able to start playing a week earlier, on September 18, 2026.
