Ema Modric, 13-year-old daughter of Luka Modric, has left Milan and joined Real Madrid's youth team, sparking speculation about her father's future.
Ema Modric, the 13-year-old daughter of Croatia's greatest footballer of all time, Luka Modric, is the newest member of Real Madrid's youth squad. According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, as reported by Večernji list, she has already begun preparations for the new season in the colors of the Royal Club.
Ema arrives at Real from Milan, whose youth categories she represented since her father joined the Rossoneri last summer. In Milan's U-13 team last season, she caught attention with outstanding performances, and with the team, she also won the prestigious Garino Cup in Turin.
At that tournament, she scored a goal in the quarterfinal against Sassuolo, in the semifinal they defeated their peers from Inter, and in the final, the young players of Juventus. Interestingly, Ema has already played in Spain for Madrid CFF, but at that time she could not play for Real because the Royal Club did not have a team in her age group.
Ema's transfer to Real immediately raised questions about her father's future. Modric is awaited in Madrid with open arms to take on one of the roles in the club's sporting sector once he retires. Many therefore speculate that Ema's return to Madrid could be a sign that this is Luka's last year in professional football.
It is expected that the rest of the Modric family will soon join Ema in Madrid, which would further confirm the thesis of Luka's imminent return to the city where he spent the majority of his magnificent career.
