The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia (MOD) issued a public warning on Tuesday to residents of Šibenik-Knin County that increased noise can be expected during August 4 and 5, 2026. The reason is the planned flight activities of the Croatian Air Force (CAF), which will take place as part of the celebration of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, Croatian Veterans Day, and the 31st anniversary of the military-police operation Storm.

The MOD asks citizens for patience and understanding, emphasizing that there is no cause for alarm. The increased noise will be a result of aircraft flyovers in the county during both days of the celebration, the center of which is in Knin.

Special Warning for Drone Owners

In addition to the noise announcement, the Ministry of Defense has issued a strict warning to owners of unmanned aerial vehicles. According to legal regulations, drones must not be used in the area of the City of Knin on August 4 and 5, 2026. This measure is introduced solely for the safety of the planned flight activities.

Any unauthorized use of a drone in the no-fly zone can pose a serious danger to aircraft and pilots and cause unforeseen incidents during the central celebration.
