Croatian national team striker Petar Musa continues to capture the attention of the soccer public in the USA. His performances in the FC Dallas jersey unequivocally show that he is in the best form of his career. The latest confirmation of his goal-scoring prowess came in the third round of the League Cup, also known as the Cup League.
This competition brings together the best teams from the North American continent: all 18 clubs from the Mexican league and the 18 most successful teams from MLS, the league featuring clubs from the United States and Canada.
Dallas suffered a 1-3 defeat in a tough away match against Mexican side Toluca, but Musa managed to score the only goal for his team and once again put the spotlight on himself. Like a seasoned striker, he cleverly redirected the ball after a long-range shot from a teammate, deceiving the opposing goalkeeper.
The club season across the Atlantic begins in February, so the competition is currently at its midpoint. Musa's performance during this period is truly impressive: in his 19 appearances for Dallas so far, he has scored 14 goals and added three assists.
His quality is not only evident in club football but also at the international level. Two months ago, he briefly left FC Dallas to make himself available for the Croatian national team at the World Cup.
