Former Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal dined at the Dvor tavern and walked through the stone streets of Primošten, while Roger Federer is again vacationing on Mali Lošinj.
Rafael Nadal, the celebrated Spanish tennis player who ended his career in November 2024, was seen strolling through Primošten after dinner at the local tavern Dvor. The news was reported by the local portal Primošten Plus, stating that the former tennis player then walked the town's stone streets.
His visit did not go unnoticed. Several people recognized him during the evening and asked for a photo together, and Nadal gladly agreed. The Dvor tavern shared a photo on its Instagram profile showing him posing with the restaurant staff, along with the message: "Thank you, Rafael Nadal, for visiting!"
Nadal bid farewell to professional tennis in November 2024, when he played for Spain in the Davis Cup finals. He leaves behind 22 Grand Slam titles and a total of 92 ATP Tour titles. He won Roland Garros a record 14 times and spent 209 weeks at the top of the ATP rankings.
In addition, he won two Olympic gold medals: in singles at Beijing 2008 and in doubles with Marcelo López at Rio de Janeiro 2016. He recorded 1,080 wins at ATP-level tournaments.
Nadal is not the only tennis legend spending this summer in Croatia. Roger Federer has once again visited Mali Lošinj, where he has been returning for vacations for years.
Federer spoke to Elle about his stays on Lošinj. "I come to Mali Lošinj whenever I get the chance. A few years ago, I spent ten days right here, in a villa in Čikat Bay, and since then I always enjoy coming back," he said. He added that it is "beautiful and peaceful" there and that they always enjoy their visits.
During his career, Nadal earned approximately $135 million and was active from 2001 to 2024. In addition to his Roland Garros record, he also won the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open, completing a career Grand Slam.
