Dinamo Fans Demand Kovačević's Dismissal and Livaković's Return 'At All Costs'

Dinamo's footballers advanced to the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League yesterday with a win over Swiss side Thun with an aggregate score of 4-3, after Moris Valinčić scored in extra time of the return leg at Maksimir to make it 2-2 on the night (the first leg ended 1-1). However, the celebration was quickly overshadowed by fan dissatisfaction, as supporters on social media called for the immediate dismissal of coach Mario Kovačević and the return of former goalkeeper Dominik Livaković. They Want Livaković 'At All Costs'

Particularly harsh were the comments aimed at the goalkeeper position. Ivan Filipović, who played in the return leg, made one save and conceded two goals. Fans on the club's Facebook page made their feelings clear:

"We have to bring Livaković"

Others were even more direct:

"Livaković must be brought in at all costs"

and

"Livaković, no matter the cost. Bring him in immediately"

One comment even mentioned specific figures:

"Zvone, my friend, spend 5 million on Livaković because you could easily lose 30-40 million"

Livaković, a former Dinamo player, is currently at Fenerbahçe.

They Demand Coach's Dismissal

Comments about coach Kovačević were no less fierce, despite Dinamo playing with a man advantage from the 67th minute. Fans wrote:

"Fire the coach by midnight tonight, we got through this and we don't even know how"

and

"Terribly poor play and an even worse prepared match by the coaching staff"

Some questioned his capabilities:

"I hope it's clear to everyone now that Kovačević is not up to the standard for Dinamo"

and

"Our players aren't that bad, it's just that the coach hasn't got a clue"

One fan said:

"Your seat has been dangerously wobbling towards dismissal. Looks like you got away this time. Good luck moving forward"

Slaven Belupo Invites to a Gathering

While the debate about the coach heats up at Dinamo, their first opponent in the new HNL season, Slaven Belupo, is preparing a relaxed gathering with fans tonight. According to Podravski list, the gathering starts at 7 PM at Zrinski Square in Koprivnica, where players and coaching staff will mingle with the locals. The club stated:

"Special gifts await you, along with a chance to meet the players, and we also have a special guest, the one and only Aleksandar Lazić."

Slaven Belupo will visit Maksimir on Friday to face Dinamo in the first round of the HNL.

Dinamo Celebrates in Their Own Style

Despite the controversies, GNK Dinamo's official Twitter account continued with its traditional posts. They shared the first "night photo" just before midnight with the message:

"You didn't actually think we'd forget the traditional night photo, did you? 🤭"

The morning after the match, they posted another photo with the words:

"We want you to start your morning with a reminder of this...💙"
