More than 30 hours have passed since that moment with no trace, as the family desperately gathers information that could shed light on the mysterious disappearance in the very heart of the Croatian capital.
His last known location placed him near Foccacina Bar, between Ban Jelačić Square and Radićeva Street, an area that is bustling with people and police patrols at night.
The family shared details of the last conversation with the media, and his sister described the moments leading up to the disappearance in a message to the Zagreb.info newsroom. "The last time I heard from him was yesterday at 3:48 AM; he called me in a panic, saying he was heading to the hostel and that some man wanted to argue/fight with him," she relayed.
At that moment, she was still tracking his location on his phone, which placed him right at Foccacina Bar, but shortly after the call, the signal disappeared. "Apparently, a lot of people and police move around there at night, and any information will mean a lot to us," his sister appealed, highlighting the contrast: a place full of potential witnesses, yet complete silence about what happened.
According to information reported by DalmacijaDanas, the Zagreb police and the Brazilian embassy have been notified of the disappearance. The family has also contacted hospitals, but medical institutions are only allowed to share such information with the police, which has further complicated the already agonizing search. Gleder was reportedly traveling alone and arrived in Zagreb after attending the MoDem festival.
His loved ones are now pleading with anyone who was in the city center at the critical time to come forward, especially guests of the nearby hostels Swanky Mint, Main Square, and Hostel Nomad.
