As of Monday, August 17, 2026, the Net.hr portal will launch a new football podcast called TOTalna analiza, authored and hosted by Marijo Tot. The main idea behind the project is to provide a different, more professional insight into SHNL matches, avoiding mere score recaps or superficial comments.
Tot, a renowned Croatian coach and football educator, will dissect key moments of each match in every episode. The focus will be on tactical concepts, coaches' decisions, and the small details that often decide the winner. He will explain to viewers why a team lost control of the game, how one expert outwitted another, or how a formation change opens up space on the pitch.
Behind Tot stands an impressive pedagogical career. At the Croatian Football Federation Academy, he taught generations of coaches, including prominent names such as Sergej Jakirović, Niko Kovač, Nenad Bjelica, and Igor Tudor.
Additionally, he worked as a first assistant alongside a number of experienced strategists: Vahid Halilhodžić, Blaž Slišković, Slaven Bilić, Dragan Skočić, and Igor Štimac. Simultaneously, he built his own coaching path, leading numerous Croatian clubs and working in foreign leagues.
A particularly interesting part of Tot's biography is that he is the only Croatian coach to have managed two Chinese Super League teams. This was during a time when he faced world-renowned coaches such as Luiz Felipe Scolari, Sven-Göran Eriksson, and Marcello Lippi, and the pitches were dominated by stars like Paulinho, Robinho, Hulk, Oscar, Zvjezdan Misimović, and Tim Cahill.
