NK Gradina is marking an impressive seven decades of continuous activity, and to mark the occasion, on Saturday, August 22, it is organizing a grand celebration for all generations. The event will take place at the Sports Center Gradina, and all proceeds from tickets, priced at a symbolic €5, will go toward the NK Gradina Football School.
The celebration will bring together numerous former Croatian national team players who have supported this humanitarian mission with their presence. The guest list includes Goran Vlaović, Boris Živković, Marko Babić, Robert Špehar, Mario Tokić, Miroslav Bičanić, Primož Gliha, Tomislav Mikulić, Željko Pakašin, Antun Labak, Miroslav Žitnjak, and Jozo Šimunović, along with many other guests from the world of sports and public life.
The organizers emphasize that this is an opportunity for generations who have been part of the club's story over the years to meet in one place, from the youngest prospects to veterans.
The program kicks off at 3:00 PM with a tournament for the youngest footballers in the U-11 category. At 5:30 PM, an exhibition match is scheduled between NK Gradina (U-15) and the Humane zvijezde team, and an hour later, at 6:30 PM, the veterans of NK Gradina and Humane zvijezde will face off.
The ceremonial program for the club's 70th anniversary begins at 8:00 PM. On this occasion, thank-you notes and gifts will be presented to sponsors, and former club presidents will receive well-deserved recognition.
The sports part of the evening will be just a prelude to a grand musical finale. Starting at 9:00 PM, a charity concert will feature performances by Miroslav Škoro, Ivan Štivić, Amir Kazić Leo, the band Divne godine, and Suhopoljski tamburaši.
"Seven decades of tradition. Seven decades of pride. Seven decades of NK Gradina. In one place, we will gather former Croatian national team players, well-known faces from Croatian sports and public life, our youngest footballers, veterans, and big names from the Croatian music scene. This is not just a celebration of the past; we are doing this for our children, for the future of the club," the organizers said.
