At the intersection near the Krom shopping center in Split, which many drivers consider one of the city's 'black spots,' another risky traffic situation was recorded on Monday. Footage from a vehicle, published on August 10, 2026, by the portal Dalmacija Danas, shows the moment a collision nearly occurred.
The video shows a car continuing straight from Slobode Street toward Hrvatske ratne mornarice Street. As it reached the middle of the intersection, a motorcyclist suddenly emerged from the opposite direction, from Hrvatske ratne mornarice Street, turning left toward Domovinskog rata Street, cutting across the car's path.
The motorcyclist entered deep into the intersection, crossing the path of the car that had the right of way. Fortunately, there was no physical contact, but the situation was dangerous enough to spark a flurry of reactions.
The footage quickly ignited a heated debate among Facebook users. While some blame the car driver, others point the finger at the motorcyclist. 'Sometimes arrogance knows no bounds,' reads one comment under the video, suggesting the problem lies in the behavior of road users.
On the other hand, an ironic take on the situation also emerged.
