The Andričić family farm from the Bjelovar-Bilogora County decided to help firefighters and affected residents during the fires in the Omiš area.
While firefighting units were working to contain the blaze in the Omiš area, support poured in from all over Croatia. Among those who joined the effort was the Andričić family farm from Rovišće, located in the Bjelovar-Bilogora County, which sent fresh blueberries and packages of mixed nuts for the firefighters and people at the reception center.
Just one day after the fire broke out, their special delivery was on its way to Omiš. As they announced on Facebook, although they have been delivering their products to Omiš every week for years, this time the reason was entirely different.
"We are hastily packing our fresh blueberries and bags of mixed nuts as a little refreshment for the brave firefighters who are tirelessly battling the flames, as well as for the people at the reception center who had to leave their homes."
In the photos they later shared, firefighters can be seen unloading cartons full of blueberries from the truck. "Mission accomplished," the Andričić family farm said alongside the photo.
They are not the only ones who stepped in to help. The Radmanove mlinice restaurant, located about six kilometers from Omiš in the Cetina River canyon, offered free food and drinks to everyone affected by the fire, stating that everything was on them.
