Drunk 36-Year-Old Woman Stabs 71-Year-Old Partner to Death in Slavonski Brod

The Brod-Posavina Police Department reported on Sunday, August 9, a shocking murder case that took place in a family home in the Slavonski Brod area. A 36-year-old woman is suspected of fatally stabbing her 71-year-old partner, and according to police findings, she was heavily intoxicated at the time of the crime.

Fatal Verbal Dispute and Stabbing

According to the results of the criminal investigation, the drama began on Friday, August 7, 2026, at around 11:10 PM. A verbal dispute broke out between the partners in their home, which escalated. As police suspect, the 36-year-old woman, in a fit of rage, took a knife and inflicted a single stab wound on the man.

The police received a report of the lifeless body of the 71-year-old at 11:16 PM, just minutes after the attack. Upon arriving at the scene, officers arrested the person connected to the case. The man died at the scene from his injury.

Breathalyzer Showed 2.03 Parts Per Thousand

During the procedure, the suspect was given a breathalyzer test, which showed she had 2.03 parts per thousand of alcohol in her system. This is well above the threshold for severe intoxication and indicates a high level of drunkenness at the time of the offense.

The investigation was jointly conducted by police officers and the County State Attorney's Office in Slavonski Brod. Details about the exact motive for the dispute have not been released.
