According to the official statement, Air Tractors were deployed a total of 224 times for firefighting operations during July. During this period, they dropped approximately 607,100 liters of water and foam on the fire sites, spending a total of 65 hours and 50 minutes in the air.
These numbers confirm the immense work carried out by the pilots and support crews over the past period, especially in inaccessible areas where ground firefighters struggle to operate. The Air Tractors took off from their base in Mostar to reach fire sites across Herzegovina, and their efforts were pivotal in containing the blazes.
One of the biggest challenges was the major fire near Bosansko Grahovo, for which Croatia's assistance was requested. This incident further underscores the severity of the situation and the importance of cross-border cooperation in firefighting efforts near the Croatian border.
