Due to the Conference League third qualifying round match between Hajduk and Žalgiris, Split police are implementing special traffic regulations. The first roadblocks begin as early as 3 PM, with stadium gates opening at 6:30 PM.
Ahead of the return leg of the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round between HNK Hajduk and Lithuanian side FVMD Žalgiris, the Split-Dalmatia Police Department has issued a series of important instructions for fans and residents. The match is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2026, with a 9 PM kickoff at the Poljud city stadium.
To ensure the smooth running of the event and the safety of all visitors, police are urging attendees to arrive at the stadium well before the match begins. Gates at Poljud will open at 6:30 PM, and organizers ask fans to come early to avoid queues at security checks and ticket verification.
Police emphasize that entry to the stadium requires both a valid ticket and a photo ID. Citizens are advised to set off for Poljud in good time, so that after all necessary checks, they can take their seats in the stands before the official start of the public gathering.
For anyone planning to travel through the wider city center of Split on Thursday, the key warning concerns special traffic regulations. The first roadblock will be set up as early as 3 PM and will remain in place until the end of the police operation. It covers Ulica VIII. mediteranskih igara at several key points: at the entrance to the Poljud swimming pool car park, near the "Mandrach" restaurant, and at the intersection with Ulica Sedam Kaštela. Only police vehicles and those with the appropriate permits will be allowed to use this route.
From 5 PM, the second phase of roadblocks comes into effect. Traffic will be closed on Zrinsko-frankopanska Street, from the intersection with Ulica Hrvatske mornarice all the way to the entrance to Lora. At the same time, Put Supavla will be closed from its intersection with Put Brodarice. Only Croatian Army vehicles, residents' vehicles, public transport, and vehicles with permits will be allowed on these routes.
Police have made it clear that visitors will not be able to park their vehicles near the stadium or in the wider Poljud area. Those arriving by car are advised to leave their vehicles in parking lots in other parts of the city and continue on foot or use public transport to reach the stadium.
Traffic wardens and police officers will pay special attention to illegal parking on Zrinsko-frankopanska, Hrvatske mornarice, Sedam Kaštela, and Put Supavla streets. Vehicles parked in violation of the rules, including those left in the middle of the road, will be penalized, and those meeting the criteria will be towed.
Ahead of the match, police also reminded the public of the provisions of the Law on Preventing Violence at Sporting Events. It is strictly forbidden to bring alcohol or drugs into the stadium, and to be under the influence of alcohol. The possession of pyrotechnics, weapons, and any other objects that could cause injury or incite disorder is also prohibited.
Furthermore, covering one's face with a cap, scarf, or any other means to conceal identity is not allowed. Banners, flags, messages, and chants that express or incite hatred or violence based on race, nationality, regional origin, or religion are also banned. Police have announced that all observed unlawful behavior will be penalized, and that the stadium area and access routes will be under video surveillance before, during, and after the match.
