An unknown perpetrator stole a Segway electric scooter in Novigrad in early August. Police have released a photo of a person who may have useful information and are asking anyone who recognizes them to come forward.
The Istrian Police issued a public appeal on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, asking citizens for help in identifying a person whose photo they released. They believe this person may have information about the theft of an electric scooter that occurred in Novigrad.
According to police information, the theft took place on August 3, 2026, in the afternoon. An unknown perpetrator stole a black Segway electric scooter near a catering establishment on Terre Street. The victim is a 32-year-old Serbian citizen, and the material damage is estimated at several hundred euros.
Police are asking all citizens who recognize the person in the photo, or who have any other information about this incident, to contact them. Information can be provided directly to the Umag-Umago Police Station with its branch in Buje-Buie.
