Due to damage to the water pipe during work on the 'Vojnović Tree-Lined Avenue' project, part of Iva Vojnovića Street and Augusta Šenoe Street in Dubrovnik have been left without water. Repairs are expected to be completed by 7 PM.
Work on the project to renovate Iva Vojnovića Street in Dubrovnik has hit another snag. On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the contractor, Tehnogradnja, punctured a water pipe, leaving part of the city neighborhood without water. This is the second such incident in less than a month.
As confirmed by the municipal utility company Vodovod Dubrovnik, part of Iva Vojnovića Street, specifically the stretch from Petra Preradovića Street to City Cafe at number 34, is currently without water supply. Additionally, the entire Augusta Šenoe Street is also without water.
Vodovod Dubrovnik staff immediately went to the site and began repair work on the damaged pipeline. According to the information we currently have, the repair should be completed by 7 PM, after which the water supply in the area should return to normal.
This is not the first time that work on the project has led to water supply disruptions. Just over two weeks ago, a nearly identical situation occurred when, for the same reason, part of Iva Vojnovića Street, from dr. Ante Šercera Street to Petra Preradovića Street, including all side streets branching off them, was left without water.
The 'Vojnović Tree-Lined Avenue' project involves the renovation of part of Iva Vojnovića Street and the planting of new hackberry trees, along with associated urban infrastructure work. The project, co-financed with funds for green infrastructure development, aims to increase green spaces and improve the quality of public space. The work is being carried out by Tehnogradnja, and the damage to the water infrastructure occurred during excavation for tree planting.
