Croatian boxing fans have the opportunity to follow an exceptional sporting event tonight. On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Dublin's iconic 3Arena will host the tenth edition of Zuffa Boxing, and RTL's platform VOYO has secured exclusive rights for a live broadcast on the domestic market. This ambitious promotion aims to fundamentally change professional boxing.
The main event of the evening is the fight for the vacant IBF world title in the middleweight division. This is a historic moment, as a title match on Irish soil hasn't taken place in more than 30 years. Two undefeated fighters will compete for the belt: home hope Aaron McKenna (20-0) and Italian Etinosa Oliha (22-0).
For McKenna, this appearance carries special weight. Although he amassed over 150 wins in his amateur career and won the Irish national title eight times, he built his professional career far from home. Now he has the opportunity to challenge for the top of the world rankings in front of his own fans. Both McKenna and Oliha have recorded ten knockout victories each, which promises a dynamic and unpredictable clash.
RTL's platform VOYO is the only place in Croatia where the entire event can be watched. The preliminary fights are scheduled from 6:00 PM Central European Time. The main card, which includes the most prominent bouts, starts at 8:00 PM, with the highlight of the evening being the world title showdown.
The audience will also enjoy a series of other attractive fights. In the co-main event, home favorite "King" Callum Walsh (16-0) will face experienced English southpaw Tyler Denny (21-4-3). Walsh returns to the 3Arena, where he made a strong impression in 2024 with a stoppage victory in the second round.
In the light heavyweight division, Irish ace Joe Ward (12-1) will test his strength against undefeated Artjom Kasparian (14-0). The fight card is also packed with other Irish prospects, including knockout artist Stevie McKenna (16-1, with 15 KOs) and undefeated Connor Coyle (22-0), giving the entire event a strong patriotic fervor.
This event is a key step for Zuffa Boxing, a promotion born as a joint venture between TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of the UFC, and Saudi conglomerate Sela. At its helm is Dana White, and the goal is clear: to restructure professional boxing along the lines of the successful model from mixed martial arts. While earlier numbered events were mostly held in Las Vegas, the move into the Irish market confirms the intention to create a centralized promotion with more transparent paths to title fights.
